Here are the following rules for boys and girls for league age and how you progress within the Little League.
Boys: Whatever age your child is by April 30th is the league age that your child is for the current season.
Girls: Whatever age your child is by January 1st is the league age for your child is for the current season.
T-Ball
4 and 5 year old's must play T-Ball, 6 year old's without any expierence or prior involvement in Little League must play in
T-Ball.
Instruction League (IL)
6 year old's may play in IL if they have played T-Ball for one year.
6, 7, and 8 year olds without any expierence must play in IL.
Minor Baseball
7 through 11 year olds may tryout for the minors, if they do not get drafted onto a team and they are 7 or 8 they must move back down to IL.
Major Baseball
9 through 12 year olds may tryout for the majors, if they do not get drafted onto a team and they are 9 through 11 they they must move back down to minors.
All 12 year olds MUST play in Major Baseball.
Senior Baseball
13 through 16 year olds are eligible to play on the Senior teams
Big League
14 through 18 years olds are eligible to play in Big League.
